LOVE NOTE

Have you ever thought of interacting with God (and God to us) through the use of creative metaphor? An example of relating to our Maker in precisely that style plays off the fact that one of the ways Jesus referred to Himself was as “Living Water.” Water in the natural realm comes in many different forms. Likewise, God approaches each of us in different ways, appropriate to the changing seasons of our lives. In light of that, consider receiving a personal letter from the Creator expressed as the following creative piece:

LOVE NOTE

I want to tenderly waltz you into the wonder of My Goodness . . . so please, do not covet My expression of Passion toward others which may come in a more dramatic way than you have experienced. If I allowed you to taste My Rushing Waters out of season, it would wreak havoc on the countryside villages, the outskirts of your soul. The damage wrought by raging rivers that reach flood stage would not be to your benefit. I know how much of My Presence your frail frame can sustain . . . and how quickly you can let it come. Too much of anything good creates bad results. When you look with jealousy on the outpouring of My Presence toward another, it invites deceptive whispers that, “You are not good enough,” that, “Something is wrong with you.”

There is a proper timing within each of you, whom I love, to visit your own experience of a “Niagara.” But I have other places to bless you with as well. It may be that your time is to go with Me to explore the tropics of My Spirit . . . where the very air you breathe is drenched with the dripping lavish moisture of the richness of My Tranquility.

At another time, I may want to introduce you to the light airiness of the finely sprayed mist of My Presence. This is the place where I honor and respect the treatment of your bruised and battered heart with the tenderness of kid gloves. Who among you should say where and when another should be? I have promised that all who hunger for My presence will know the breadth and length and height and depth of My Love.

With every precious thirsty spirit, I have uniquely choreographed My Dance in the way that is best suited for each to approach the fullness of Who I am. Allow yourself to behold the artistry, and wonder at My skill, in the perfume of romance gently applied (in varying proportions and all of its diversity), behind the ears of all who yearn to hear My Voice and would seek to inhale the sweetness of My Fragrance. Come together and rejoice that I kiss each of you differently on the softness of your childlike cheeks.

                                                                                      Love,

The Living Water of Your Soul
