Song of Deliverance

When you dwell in the shelter of Who I AM

the shadow I cast over the first to the last

and all in between (whoever will ask)

magnifies My massive size

and just how very big I am.

Vigilant on your behalf

from early morn ’til night has passed

a sentinel who never sleeps

and Commander in Chief of the mightiest fleet–

it’s special ops that I dispatch

to rescue you from hidden traps.

Take refuge in Me and let Me be

a solid fortress for your soul.

Hidden deep within My promise is this

a safer place you’ll never know.

When sickness seeks to stalk you by stealth

to rob you of your life and your health

remember the stripes that tore at My flesh

the rivers of blood that poured like a flood

breaking the curse for all those it hurt

so healing would be… abundantly free.

Grab hold of the promise and claim it.

Faithful and True are two of My Names.

My character doesn’t ever change.

When intimidation (along with its lies)

comes after you to terrorize

recall death’s been defeated and all of its foes

by My power that bursts explosive in you

rebuke that deadly duo.

~

Tethered to My passion, sealed inside My heart

angels guard you day and night

no matter where you are.

They’ll catch you when you stumble

clear away rocks that make you fall.

They do all this and more for you

when all you do is call.

And as you grow in confidence

of the weapons that you wield

you can face down roaring lions

and crush the serpent’s head.

When it’s Christ’s Name you rely on

every enemy is dead.

You’ve set your heart upon Me.

Your Deliverer I’ll be.

Seated with Me in the heavenlies —

by My side… My precious Bride

you will forever be.

Count on Me to be there

responsive to your calls

to rescue you from trouble–

I’ll honor you with double

portion for your shame.
