RIPENED FRUIT

The sun’s splendor splashes across the sky with gilded glow gracing the heavens. Moon and stars set like jewels on black velvet lend sparkling fascination from a Master Artist and Designer who wows with wonder through such stunning craftsmanship displayed in cosmic glory . . .

But this same “hands-on Creator” stoops low, scooping handfuls of clay to sculpt the frail frames of humankind—delegated as lords over creation. Written into an epic Story as pure poetry and songs set to the music of a passion-filled Heart, the commission is for these image-bearers to fill the earth with the fame of God’s glorious Name.

And yet . . .

It seemed like eternity to me

as I watched You in dreams paint all the colors

on the prism of Your palette.

A magnificent masterpiece

heralding my name clear across a celestial sky

in pictures which said,

“You are the apple of My Eye.”

~

So . . . Artist of artists, Poet of souls

 sculpt me my destiny

richly compose —

the song I am to sing in life

the dream I am to paint

the dance that best will honor You

the music I’m to make.

~

For I am . . . and you are too

a priceless Designer’s original . . .

precious . . . unique . . . simply unrepeatable.

What kind of “label” will we wear?

Our countenance will tell —

may it reflect what we are worth.

Let us wear our value well.

I could hardly get past the title! But finally was able to read all! It spoke of my longing! I’ve seen it in my children interact with their Dad, and have seen it in my grandchildren interact with their Dad, my son! I feel blessed to be a part of that! I have found that love at the foot of the cross and so there too I am Thankful! No greater love has no man!
